August 30-September 1, 2012

Thursday, August 30

Departing Decatur, 4:45am!

Arrival @ NCM

Plenty of time to catch Hall of Fame inductee Gary Claudio's very entertaining seminar!

Andy Pilgrim's talk was also very enjoyable.

Designer Kirk Bennion had created a one-off Andy Pilgrim edition!

Thanks to Bob Hellmann for this great spot for my display!

The Corvette Assembly Plant as seen from the site of the future
NCM Motorsports Park across I-65.

Sorry, no decent photos from Friday Evening's Hall of Fame Induction Banquet...

Friday, August 31

Lining up at the Corvette Plant for the Lifetime Members' road tour and lunch.

While waiting, Huntsville friend Pat Hill became the second person to sign the hood INSIDE the logo oval for her $100 donation to the American Cancer Society. Thanks, Pat & Rod!

Following Pat & Rod on the road to lunch.

Our lunch destination was the Shaker Tavern.

Friday evening Lifetime Members' Banquet, moved to the
NCM Conference Center from the 1869 Homestead because of weather.

Speaker was Wes Wong, FBI, who was on the ground
at the World Trade Center 9/11/2001; a riveting talk!

Saturday, September 1

Through October 28, the NCM is hosting an incredible,
chilling exhibit of 9/11 photos, history and memorabilia.

Back home in Alabama.
